UPDATE FOR LKPR (Prague)

AI AARDVARK CLOSES DOORS
After three and a half years of modelling the famous AARDVARK AI aircraft, David Rawlins stops his activities. The forum on the website is now closed, but the various AI aircraft (different types of Boeings, DC9, MD80s and 90, Embraers and Tupolev) will remain available for downloading. EVOLVE AI will continue the job and launched already additional aircraft such as DC 10, Airbus 320/100-200, Airbus 321 and Embraer 140/145. We can only thank David for his fantastic work during all these years.

Since MRAI closed its site in October 2005 the market has been filled up with other sites providing us with AI flightplans:
- 6th Heaven (formerly FSAI)
- World of AI (with complete packages)
- ProjectAI (complete packages - civil / cargo and separate flightplans)
- AVSIM (see Library - AI Flightplans)

NEW FLIGHT SIMULATOR FSX
Microsoft's new Flight Simulator FSX will be released at the end of 2006. They mention "From award winning game developer ACES comes Flight Simulator X. The latest installment will include the usual genre leading realism that continues to awe real pilots and will serve as the graphical benchmark for games on Windows Vista. Additionally, Flight Simulator X will deliver for the first time structured game play with more than 55 missions to choose from which will test the skills of players of all levels". We wonder if the new version will offer much more than FS9. Anyway, we hope that the improvements are not restricted to some better landscapes here and there and the introduction of missions. Most of us expect indeed that AI en ATC-flights would be made more realistic.

Freeware developer Sascha Rieger has uploaded his latest project : RealityPack 1.2 . He describes it as a major enhancement of FS2004, bringing you new forests, meadows, cliffs, runways, taxiways, roads with traffic, rails with trains, trees, airport lighting, a complete texture set for Europe and more. Can be downloaded on AVSIM
